Great blog, one addition to the drinking in Spain and something I never knew about before I arrived - in the province of Granada all drinks are served with FREE tapa! Same price as everywhere else but with a small snack for nothing, nada! Drive 20 minutes down the road to Malaga and it stops ... same drink, same price but no free tapa!

try it!

my best memories are of family holidays in spain when i was 7+ years of age, i am now 49 years of age and have the good fortune to be running a Hotel on the Costa Blanca Coast (Cabo Roig). What makes Spain is the fiestas which take place all year round, the fiestas bring together all nationalities, of course the sunny climate helps, the Spanish people are some of the friendliest people you could wish to meet, especially if you can speak their language.

If you want to have a good drink with a delicious tapa and be setting with the Alhambra palace in front of your eyes, you must come to Granada!. I recommend you The White Nest Hostel. It is located in the best area of the Albayzin with magnificent view of the palace and paseo de los tristes. You can find a young international group of like minded people, in fresh vibrant surroundings. You will have a great time to remember your entire life… I propose you to stay in Hostels Granada and experience the life of Albayzin, Sacromonte and the heart of Granada itself.

Awesome info! I have lived in Andalucia, Spain for over 3 years having been originally from the UK! It's much more relaxed than the normal hussle and bussle associated with England! I love nothing better than enjoying a few hours at the beach followed by a nice glass of wine in a bar! :-)

Fernando

I mast say you know Spain very well
